Bertina (Betty) Parisi, of N. Massapequa, died on May 28, 2002 Wife of Hebert P. Mother of John M. Parisi and Jennifer L. DiNatale. Mother-in-law of Robert. Grandmother of Angelina. Sister of Anna R. McMorrow, Mario Smeraldi, the late Domenica and the late Tina. Arrangements were made by the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home Bethpage. Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. James RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. Robert Farrell, of N. Massapequa, died on May 28, 2002. He was retired from NCPD. Husband of the late AnneMarie. Father of Kathleen Buckley (Thomas), Robert V. and Patricia Marie Farrell. Brother of Audrey Hughes. Arrangements were made by the Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Home, Wantagh. Funeral Mass at St. James RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Dr. Alfred S. Ruesch, of Massapequa, formerly of Great Neck, died on May 31, 2002, at the age of 94. Husband of Gladys Rinard Ruesch. Father of Alfred R. (Ann) and Robert (Eileen). Grandfather of Devon and Lisa and Christine and Matthew. Great-grandfather of two. Brother of Melvin Ruesch. Dr. Reusch was a graduate of Lafayette College and received his medical degree from NYU Medical School. He served as a lieutenant commander in the Pacific Campaign from 1942 to 1946. At the time of his death he was a retired commander in the USNR. Dr. Reusch practiced family medicine in Great Neck for 48 years. He was on the medical staff of Winthrop University Hospital (formerly Nassau Hospital), Manhasset Medical Center, Meadowbrook Hospital and North Shore University Hospital. He served on the Founders Committee and for many years as chief of family practice at North Shore University Hospital. In addition he was the surgeon for the Vigilant Alert Fire Company in Great Neck. He also served as the school doctor for the Great Neck school system. He was one of the founders of the Community Church of Great Neck. He served on the board of the LI Council of Christians and Jews. A memorial service was held on June 4 at the Massapequa Funeral Home, North Chapel. The family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
