    Between the hours of 9 and 9:30 a.m. last Friday morning, a fire broke out at the Liberty Industrial Site on Motor Avenue in Farmingdale. The South Farmingdale Fire Department immediately responded to the scene, assisted by other local fire departments. FULL STORY

  • NEWS: Friends of Massapequa Preserve Clean Up

    Friends of the Massapequa Preserve gathered with a total of 22 volunteers for their cleanup project on Dec. 1 at the Massapequa Preserve on Walker St. They collected seven large trash bags of litter and one old bicycle in the woods and fields around Walker St. Many hands made for light work, as they finished their task in just under an hour. The organization hopes this project will encourage others to catch the spirit and not litter in the Preserve. FULL STORY

    The Massapequa Girls Cross Country Team recently completed an outstanding season under the leadership of first-year coach Dennis McLoughlin.
