Sarah Buscaino from St. Rose of Lima and Patricia King from East Lake Elementary School were recently selected to perform in the Eglevsky Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. Established in 1961, Eglevsky Ballet is the oldest professional ballet company on Long Island.

The company's artistic director, Ali Pourfarrokh, choreographed the perennial holiday favorite. The internationally renowned dancers Valentina Kozlova and Ben Huys head a professional company of 25 dancers.

The five performances at Tilles Center of the Performing Arts are from Dec. 22 through Dec. 26. Ticket information is available through the Tilles Center box office at 299-3100.
