Massapequa High School Grad Publishes First Novel
Taking him four years to outline, research, write, rewrite, and finally sell, former Massapequa resident Phil Bossert's first novel, Core Values, was recently published. The novel is about the United States Air Force Academy, the Gulf War, and maintaining character during turbulent times.

Plainedge Board of Education Changes Voting Poll Location
The Plainedge Board of Education approved a change in polling location for the annual school budget vote in May. Residents will be voting only in the Plainedge High School Gymnasium this year, rather than the district's elementary schools. The high school is centrally located, with Schwarting Elementary to the south, and Eastplain and West Elementary Schools located to the north.

Local Dancers to Perform In Eglevsky Ballet
Sarah Buscaino from St. Rose of Lima and Patricia King from East Lake Elementary School were recently selected to perform in the Eglevsky Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. Established in 1961, Eglevsky Ballet is the oldest professional ballet company on Long Island.
