  • NEWS: No-Cost Breast Cancer Screening Day at Massapequa Park Public Library

    Senator Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. (8th Senate District-Merrick) is hosting his annual Massapequa Park no-cost breast cancer screening day at the Massapequa Park Public Library in cooperation with the Nassau Health Care Corporation. The screenings will be Dec. 20 during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The patient will be provided with a mammography, clinical breast examination and instructions for Nassau County female residents ages 40 and over.     The mission statement of the Make-a-Wish Foundation says that its purpose is to "grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy."     Massapequa Park Mayor James Altadonna and the board of trustees recently congratulated the Massapequa International Little League 2001 New York State Champions. The boys, who made up the Williamsport Tournament Team, are 12 years old. Hats off to this fine group of young men. FULL STORY
