Local Election Results: Most Incumbents Hold n
Incumbent Republican supervisor for the Town of Oyster Bay John Venditto was victorious in this Tuesday's election. Venditto, who garnered nearly 10,000 more votes than his Democratic opponent Joe Lorintz, received 41,254 votes while Lorintz received 31,434. Venditto celebrated with fellow Republicans Tuesday night, where he thanked his colleagues and said that the people made their choice clear.

Massapequa Chiefs Have Winning Season
Massapequa High School's Varsity Volleyball team, coached by Carolann Habeeb, finished their regular season play with a record of 12-1 and claimed the Conference I Championship title for the second year in a row. Ranked second in the county, the Chiefs were awarded first place in the Herricks Tournament Sept. 22, where they defeated Long Beach 2-0. Kristin Hoffman and Kerri Weinstein were named to the All-Tournament team. Kerry Krohn was the tournament MVP. At the Smithtown Tournament Oct. 26-27, the team placed first in the Gold Bracket after defeating West Hempstead 2-1. Meaghan Joyce and Kristen Hoffman were chosen for the All-Tournament team. Kerry Krohn was again selected as the tournament MVP, where she had 46 kills and 50 digs. Good luck in the playoffs!
