A few days after Sept. 11, the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce, officers, board of directors, and member businesses agreed to set up the Massapequa World Trade Center Memorial Fund.

The fund's sole objective is to raise money for the families tragically affected by this act of war. Additionally, 100 percent of the money raised will go to those Massapequa families.

I realize that all Massapequans have given generously to many funds, and that is good and correct; but there are neighbors, friends and families who need assistance right here in Massapequa.

If you would like to donate to help your neighbors, please send your contribution to the Massapequa World Trade Center Memorial Fund; c/o Massapequa Chamber of Commerce, 674 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758.

God Bless America!

Gary Slavin

President
