Bruce Torgersen, 46, of N. Massapequa, died from an accidental drowning and was found on Sept. 3, 2001. Father of Ian and Jesse. Son of Edith and the late Rolf. He was predeceased by his only brother Gary. Uncle of Heather Schiera and Katja Torgersen. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Service at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. Daniel J. Bianchini, 51, a resident of the Grey Gables Section of Bourne, MA, died at his home on Sept. 12 after a short illness. Husband of Carol Burns Bianchini. Born in NYC, he was raised in Lindenhurst. He had lived in Boston and Newton until moving to Bourne in 1987. Mr. Bianchini was a graduate of Manhattan College. For the past 25 years he had been a corporate manager for Pinkerton Consulting & Investigation Inc. of Boston. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church of Pocasset. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jake D. Bianchini and daughter, Sara E. Bianchini, both of Bourne; a brother, Gregory Bianchini of NYC; sister, Michele Appelblatt of Coral Springs, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, W. Falmouth, MA. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment N. Falmouth Cemetery. Peter J. Ganci Jr., of N. Massapequa, died on Sept. 11, 2001. He was Chief of Department FDNY. Husband of Kathleen (nee Koster). Father of Peter Ganci III (L111 FDNY), Christopher M. Ganci and Danielle K. Ganci. Brother of Mary Dougherty, James Ganci, Daniel Ganci and Ellen Ganci. Brother-in-law of Ronald Koster, Richard Koster, Theresa Giametta and Cheryl Szilagy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass at St. Kilian RC Church. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery.
