There will be flu and pneumonia shots available to seniors Oct. 18 at the Bar Harbour Building of the Massapequa Public Library for no out of pocket cost. Those who wish to get a shot must be age 60 or over, a resident of school district 23, and pre-registered. Registration will begin Sept. 12 and 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at both the Central Ave. and Bar Harbour Buildings. Registration will then be ongoing at the Central Avenue Building from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. until all 600 spots have been filled. Be sure to reserve early!

This program is a cooperative effort between the Senior Connections Volunteers of the Massapequa Public Library, a large cadre of volunteer nurses, the Nassau University Medical Center, and the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs.
