Action Long Island of Melville recently announced the appointment of Joanne Parker as the organization's executive director.

Joanne Parker

Parker, who resides in Massapequa Park, has an extensive background in marketing and sales. Her immediate goals will be to increase public awareness of Action Long Island among Long Island's business, educational and civic communities. In addition, she will oversee the organization's activities and events, including the First Annual Youth Conference of Long Island at SUNY Farmingdale followed by the prestigious Leadership Luncheon at the Huntington Hilton on Friday, Sept. 14.

Action Long Island is a volunteer organization of concerned leaders from business, labor, educational, governmental and civic communities, who have joined together with local, county, state and federal officials for the mutual benefit of the business climate and the quality of residential life on Long Island.
