Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School recognized the achievements of its outstanding students at its Annual Honors Banquet held June 18 at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing. Among those honored was sophomore Brian Kolbe, a resident of North Massapequa, who received the Boys Varsity "B" Team Basketball Most Valuable Player Award.

LuHi Athletic MVP Awards are presented to the most valuable player on each of the 2000-2001 varsity sports teams. Kolbe was named MVP of the Crusaders Varsity "B" Basketball Team in recognition of his athletic talent, high standard of sportsmanship, and ability to serve as a positive role model for his teammates.
