The first and only professional beach volleyball facility on Long Island opened for its second full season at Jones Beach State Park thanks to the combined efforts of the Long Island Volleyball Association and the representatives of the New York State Parks and Recreational Department. The facility was designed and built over the past two years and features six well-groomed sand courts, outdoor lighting, bleachers, and music. It is located at field 4, just off the boardwalk, next to the miniature golf course. The outdoor lighting will now allow people who work late to make it down to the beach to play. FULL STORY
