Plainedge Schools to Vote On New Budget
The Plainedge Public Schools 2001-2002 school budget will be put to the vote May 15. The proposed $43,997,944 spending plan reflects a 8.2 percent increase over last year's expenditures, and a 2.2 percent increase in the estimated tax rate. Included in the budget are many new programs, such as the implementation of full day kindergarten, a revised math program, and a four-week Summer Enrichment program.
