Lawn Care Without Pesticides
With dreams of warm spring days and green lawns approaching, a group of Nassau County residents gathered April 3, at the Great Neck Library to learn the "cutting edge" of organic lawn care from the environmental group Neighborhood Network. This group was instrumental in the passage of the new Neighbor Notice of Pesticide Spraying law that is now in effect.

Fourth Annual Walk-A-Thon for Education
New York State Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) President, Joseph Cangemi, in conjunction with New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc. recently announced their sponsorship of the Fourth Annual "Walk for Education" which will take place at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, in Parking Field I (off Merrick Ave.) on Saturday, May 5. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will kick off at 10 a.m. for a three mile route.
