The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservations and the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged are proud to announce the Long Island competition of the Games for the Physically Challenged will take place from May 31 through June 3 at the Mitchel Athletic Complex and Nassau Community College in Uniondale.
This innovative program of competition and recreation has inspired young athletes with physical disabilities. Eleven hundred athletes ranging in age from 5 to 21 will be competing in track, field, archery, swimming, table tennis, wheelchair basketball and slalom.
The Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged is still accepting applications from athletes until April 15.
Entry into the competitions and admission is free, so come and check out the excitement and cheer on our local athletes!
