On Feb. 1 at a Massapequa School Board meeting there was great concern about the erection of a cellular tower near the high school. Every person who spoke on this subject was against this proposal. Ironically, during this discussion, cell phones rang twice. All of us, who are against the proliferation of radio wave transmission, must realize the expanding use of wireless instruments requires additional cellular towers.

If we wish to seek the placing of cellular towers in areas where there would be less possible radiation harm, the cell phone companies and government officials involved must be made aware of this objective.

If Nextel and Sprint lost every account in the Massapequas, that message would be heard.

If our elected officials ignored the will of the majority, that message will also be heard.

Think about it.
