Planned Parenthood Opens Health Center in Massapequa
Planned Parenthood of Nassau County this week announced the opening of a new health center in Massapequa. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Jan. 24 for the facility, which was opened to the public during the last week of December.

Massapequa Elks Club Sponsors Free Throw Contest
As part of the annual Elks National Free Throw Contest, the Massapequa Elks will sponsor a free throw contest locally. It will take place Saturday, Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ames School on Baltimore Avenue, Massapequa. Children ages 8 to 13 are welcome to attend and participate.
