St. Rose 6th Grade Hoopster Boys Win
St. Barnabas' 7th grade boys travel team of Bellmore came to Massapequa this past Friday to play the 6th grade St. Rose of Lima (Red) team and left without the prize they had sought. St. Rose hung a 51-49 defeat on the Bellmore bunch in a fast-paced defensive struggle. Trailing by nine points with less than four minutes to go in the game, James Wilson (22 points)s, Steven Bentz and Danny Robinson led a furious defensive effort that resulted in the turnaround that produced the two point victory. John Furka, Bobby Daly and Tommy Kellett made key plays all game that helped keep the St. Rose team undefeated in the month of November.
