The Greenspan family of Massapequa Park, in an ongoing effort to promote awareness about the effects of head injuries, is seeking the community's support for production of a pamphlet that provides referrals to information on this little-known subject.
School Overhaul Getting Finishing Touches
With classes back in session, students in the Massapequa Schools have definitely taken notice of the facilities overhaul funded by the district's approximately $50 million bond project, and are eagerly awaiting the hook-up of the brand new computers that now furnish every classroom.
Good Samaritan Supports Wheelchair Race
The 9th annual Salomon Smith Barney North American Wheelchair Championship Race, which attracted the best wheelchair athletes from all over the world to compete on the roads of Farmingdale in June of 2000, was recently welcomed Good Samaritan Hospital as a "rookie" sponsor of the race this year. Race organizers have every expectation that the hospital will be playing an even bigger role in the 10th annual race in 2001.
