Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto (back row, second from right) recently commended Massapequa residents Gary (back row, fourth from right) and Brian Baldinger (back row, second from left) for hosting the 6th Annual Baldinger/NFL Football Clinic held at John J. Burns Town Park in Massapequa. The instructional camp, run by the former NFL players, with assistance from the Massapequa Kiwanis Club and the coaches and staff of the Massapequa Mustangs Youth football Program, teaches children the fundamentals of football and the opportunity to meet pro and college football players. The annual event includes many prizes, giveaways and refreshments donated by local businesses and organizations. Also on hand (back row, left to right) were Mustangs Commissioner Joe Gillespie, Kiwanis Vice President Bill VanWagner, County Legislator Peter Schmitt, NY Jets player Randy Thomas and State Assemblyman Steve Labriola.
