The Greater Long Island Running Club was presented with a grant check of $3,000 to help defray costs associated with the Ninth Annual North American Wheelchair Championship Race. The race was held along the Bethapge Parkway. Assemblyman Steve Labriola (R-Massapequa) presents the check to Mike Polansky, president of the Greater Long Island Running Club and Nick Katsounis, director of the Wheelchair Championship Race at the award ceremonies following the June race.
