Breast cancer has regrettably become a major concern for all women and their families in recent years, especially in this region. In an effort to assist the staff and Massapequa community in combating this disease, the Massapequa schools and Massapequa Federation of Teachers have arranged to have the Women's Outreach Network (WON) visit this area with their Mobile Mammography Unit.

This is the second consecutive year WON will be visiting here. On Wednesday, June 14, they will be at Massapequa HS from 8 - 11 a.m. and at McKenna from 12:15 - 4 p.m. On Thursday, June 15, they will be at Massapequa HS from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Most major insurance is accepted.

This opportunity is open to all Massapequa staff, their families and the entire Massapequa community. Appointments are necessary and can be scheduled by calling WON at 1-(800) 564-6868.

From all we know, early detection is the best defense against breast cancer. We encourage all staff and the Massapequa community to take part in this opportunity.
