The Massapequa Park Bicycle Park Bicycle Club has once again pledged to throw its support behind the Salomon Smith Barney North American Wheelchair Championship Race, to be heldon the Bethpage State Parkway on Sunday morning, July 25.

In addition to a significant financial contribution, MPBC President John Farina has committed his organization by providing volunteers to ensure all wheelchair racers have a smooth ride.

"We are thrilled to have the support of the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club once again this year," said Nick Katsounis, of Massapequa, who is the director of wheelchair athletics for the Greater Long Island Running Club. "It's great to have runners and bikers getting together to support wheelchair athletics here on Long Island, and we really appreciate it."
