Massapequa International Little League's Opening Day also brought with it the naming of a new street in Massapequa Park. Saracino Way, located at the westerly side of Front Street at Brady Park was named for Charlie Saracino, a longtime member of the League. Charlie has been with the Little League for 28 years, the past 20 served as vice president of the Senior Division.

Under his guidance, the League has won 13 District 31 Championships, five Long Island Championships and three State Championships. State, Town and Village officials were present to honor Saracino.
