Already I know it will be a pleasure to serve as a community news provider for the people of the "Massapequas," and I would like to use this opportunity to extend my thanks and appreciation to the Anton Community Newspaper family for their warm welcome ¬ especially to Andrea Morale, who has made my transition to editor a smooth one. She has served the community well as editor for the past three years. Good luck to her on all of her future career endeavors.

Like all communities, daily life in the Massapequas is a microcosm of what occurs on the national level. I would like this paper to reflect that, while continuing to cover those stories both important and unique to the area. Your concerns are important, and, of course, story ideas and submissions are always accepted.

Again, I thank my colleagues for their warm welcome as I make myself familiar with the people of the Massapequas.
