After a fulfilling tenure as Editor of the Massapequan Observer, I am announcing plans to leave the position to continue in a career in publishing in New York City. It has been a pleasure to work with and write about the people of the Massapequas, and I am sure my successor, Alex Corey, an experienced newspaper journalist, will also enjoy the experience. Some may have met him around town already, as he begins to delve into covering the area. I encourage those who haven't to reach out and introduce yourself to him, and help continue to make the Observer a newspaper that is closely connected to its hometown readers.
