State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, who represents Farmingdale, Massapequa, and several other south shore communities, made some strides this week in his efforts to get tougher measures for keeping our children safe on school buses. FULL STORY

Through the program, which is set for April 1, volunteers give the patients at the U.S. Veterans Hospital in Northport food, entertainment and new clothing - such as slippers, bathrobes, sweatshirts, T-shirts, and socks.
