The featured program at the Feb. 15 meeting of the Greater Long Island Running Club was a presentation by representatives of the new Long Island Track & Field organization. The meeting was held at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library.

The club members were treated to an interesting and entertaining program choreographed by LITF President Sue Polansky, and included presentations by LITF Track & Field Chairman Paul Schaefer, LITF Youth Chairman John Martin, LITF Coaching Education Chairman Syd Martin, and LITF Technical Chairman David Katz.

"We were pleased to have LITF come on over and let our members know about some other facets of our sport with which many of us are unfamiliar," observed Running Club President Mike Polansky. "They are doing wonderful work revitalizing our youth and track and field programs here on Long Island."
