Workers digging up old gas tanks at a Massapequa Shell station on Merrick Road discovered approximately 25 human bones last Thursday, Feb. 10 and then discovered additional bones about 25 feet away on Tuesday.

Columbus Lodge Winter Meetings Stir Talk of Rematch
The Columbus Lodge #2143 softball committee recently held their winter meetings at the Columbus Lodge building in South Farmingdale. Highlights of the meeting included a reduction of Sunday morning pick-up games, continued participation in charity softball events, and a possible rematch with the Gulotta Lodge.

Local Runners Invited to 3rd Annual Kings Park 15K
Local runners are invited to test themselves in the third edition of the Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run, to be held on Sunday, March 19. The entire proceeds of the run will be dedicated to the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation. The starting gun will go off at 9:15 a.m. at the W. T. Rogers Middle School on Old Dock Road in Kings Park.
