Many of Plainedge High Schools top athletes received awards at the Fall Varsity Awards Night, sponsored by the Plainedge Parents Club and the Plainedge Athletic Department, which was held on Dec. 6 at the high school.

Most Valuable Player awards were given to Andrew Garavuso, football; Paul Gargano, boys soccer; Denise Turowski, girls soccer; Kim Yannace, girls volleyball; Robin Edward, cross country; Nicole Scarangella, girls tennis; David Chang, coed golf; and Kristin Higgins, cheerleading. Coaches Awards were given to Mike Bergman, football; James Chapman, soccer; Jessica Soloman, girls soccer; Courtney Costello, girls volleyball; Erin Baker, cross country; Christy Cacioppo, girls tennis; Vinny Cogliano, coed golf; Alexis Mucciardi, cheerleading.
