Bentley College's Women's Volleyball team remains undefeated in the Northeast-10 Conference with the help of Massapequa Park native Beth Condon.
Condon, a junior at the college, recently added 11 kills in Bentley's match against St. Michael's College. She is fifth in kills (3.14 per game) for the team.
Sophomore defender Anne Fusco, of Massapequa, has helped key the number 21 ranked University of Scranton Women's Soccer team to a 16-2 record. Fusco is a member of a Royal's defensive squad that has surrendered only .46 goals per game, good enough to be the number 13 ranked defensive unit in the nation. She has also contributed a goal and two assists on offense.
Recently, the Royals defeated Wilkes University, 4-0, to claim the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom League title and earn an automatic qualifier berth in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament slated for November.
In that game Scranton set a new school record for most wins in a season and extended its current win streak to 13 matches.
John Humann, of Massapequa Park, a junior at Brockport, has been a major contributor in the college's fight to snap a losing streak against several undefeated teams. Although Brockport was shut out against Ithaca, Humann, an inside linebacker, had 14 stops, including 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
