Beth Condon, of Massapequa, a graduate of Holy Trinity High School has been named both ECAC Division II and Northeast-10 Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.

Middle hitter Condon helped lead Bentley College's volleyball team to a pair of victories by notching 36 kills, including a 24-kill performance in a 3-1 win over Pace. The victory snapped a six-match losing streak in the series. Condon, a junior at Bentley, averaged 5.1 kills per game and had a .338 hitting percentage for the week, which also included a .375 hitting percentage and 12 kills in a 3-0 win at Massachusetts-Lowell.

In a game against the University of Bridgeport, Condon helped win the game for the Bentley Falcons with 14 kills. Against Saint Anselm, Condon helped her team out with 19 kills.

Brockport Junior John Humann, of Massapequa, helped Brockport's Golden Eagles Football team rally with an interception in the fourth quarter during the team's game against Buffalo State. The Golden Eagles drove all 50 yards in 15 plays, capped by a 1-yard run by a freshman player with 6:48 to play.

Despite this effort by Humann, a linebacker, who also helped the team with an interception on Buffalo State's first play from Scrimmage after the score, Brockport could not hold on and lost to Buffalo State 14-12.
