It's not too late to sign-up for the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club's 1999 Tour of the Hamptons to be held on Sunday, Aug. 15, Wayne Edwards, chairman of the event and a real estate partner at the East Meadow law firm of Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, stated that a portion of the proceeds will be contributed to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

The Tour of the Hamptons will begin at the Southampton High School at staggered times depending on the route distance chosen. The 100-mile route begins at 7:30 a.m.; the 65- and 50-mile routes, 8 a.m.; and 25-mile route, 9 a.m. Cyclists will travel through flat terrain and rolling hills on the South Fork, passing farmland, beaches, mansions and historic towns, such as Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Amagansett and on to Montauk before returning to Southampton.

The registration fee is $20. The check should be made payable to the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club. Interested parties should contact Wayne Edwards at 296-7138 for a registration form.
