Woman With Leukemia Finds Her 'Guardian Angels'
Pat Lamorgese always knew he had friends at the Throgs Neck Bridge, where he and his wife, Cookie, have worked as bridge and tunnel officers for 20 and 14 years, respectively. But when a group of his colleagues started a wide-spread campaign to raise funds and find a bone marrow donor for his leukemia-stricken daughter, it was more than he ever expected.

Farmingdale and Massapequa Runners Score In Second Annual Vytra Kids Helping Kids Run
The unstoppable Donna McMahon of Farmingdale led the way in the women's field as 502 runners and walkers celebrated Father's Day by successfully completing the second annual Kids Helping Kids 5 Kilometer Run on Sunday morning, June 20. The 29-year-old McMahon finished in 17 minutes, 48 seconds, eight seconds in front of 14-year-old Wantagh speedster Jean Coleman.
