The Massapequa High's Varsity Girls Lacrosse team this week steamrolled over Long Beach, Plainview JFK and Herricks.

The Chiefs beat their opponents by a collective score of 45 to 19. During the first halves, the defense held the opponents to only 7 goals in the three games. When the opposition managed to bring the ball into the arch they faced the tenacious crease defense and checking of defenders Kim Thompson, Marissa D'Agosto, Gina Purpura and Colette Carpenter. When the ball hit the ground it most likely found itself in a Massapequa stick. Diana Rapacki has been outstanding this season, the last three games she stopped 43 shots on goal.

Offensively, the girls have moved the ball extraordinarily well. Versus Long Beach, Chrissie Mark led the attack with 4 goals. Versus Plainview Stephanie Pertrucelli put in 4, and versus Herricks it was Lindsay Wolf with 4 goals. The attack has been very balanced.

This week's scores were MHS 16 Long Beach 6, MHS 16 Plainview 8 and MHS 13 Herricks 5.

The Massapequa High Lacrosse Booster Club also announced that Jamie Considine will play lacrosse at Sienna College, Albany, NY.
