On March 9 the Plainedge Parents Club and the Plainedge Athletic Department honored their student athletes at the Sports Awards Night. Many individual and team honors were bestowed on the junior varsity and varsity athletes.

The winners of the MVP Awards for each of the teams were as follows: Boys Basketball- Andrew Garavuso; Girls Basketball- Jessica Whelan; Wrestling- Matt Galligan; Boys Bowling- George Baierlein; Girls Bowling- Courtney Bergen; Winter Track- Robin Edward; Cheerleading- Melissa Perez.

The recipients of the Coaches Awards were: Boys Basketball- Darren Kaufman; Girls Basketball- Lisa Johnson; Wrestling- Brad Kneer; Boys Bowling- Mike Tilleli; Girls Bowling- Karen Kung; Winter Track- Erin Baker; Cheerleading- Melissa Perez.

The Boys Varsity Bowling team received the Scholar Athlete Team distinction. The members of that team were; Anthony Caputo, Peter Caputo, James Healey, Joseph Horn, Fred LaFemina, Dom Luongo, Chris Sturges, and Mike Tilleli.

On each of the teams individual members received All Conference, All Division, or All County honors.

On the Boys Varsity Basketball team Jason D'Antonio, AJ Garavuso, and Tom Margiano were named All Conference.

On the Girls Varsity Basketball team Jessica Whelan was named All Division and Stacey Zimmerman was named All Conference.

Matt Galligan, Chris Kneer, Brad Kneer, and Frank Piccininni were the varsity wrestlers who were named All Conference.

On the Boys Varsity Bowling team, George Baierlein was named All Division and Jason Finck, Dom Luongo, and Mike Tilleli were named All Conference.

Courtney Bergen and Michelle Finkelstein, of the Girls Varsity Bowling team, were both named All Conference.

On the Boys and Girls Winter Track team Erin Baker, Lisa Close, and Dianna Yoon were named All Conference. Jenna Daly and Robin Edward were named both All Conference and All County.
