The New York Mets caravan visited the Nassau County Student Athlete Leadership Teams at Adelphi University on Friday, Jan. 22.

Mets left-handed starting pitcher, Al Leiter, with Kerri Rueb, Dawn Corso and Lauren Carone.

Fourteen of the Massapequa leaders attended the informational and educational forum. They were supervised by John Grant and Carol Ann Habeeb. Discussion topics included lifestyle choices and sportsmanship, performance anxiety, using your education, making sacrifices and numerous other subjects. The students enjoyed meeting the Mets players and coaches and discussing topics that were interesting and relevant.
