The Massapequa boys U11A travel soccer team, United, recently became the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) Division 1 Champions.

This was a result of a great deal of hard and work and dedication from both the boys and their coach, Jim McDermott. In addition to being the champs, the boys were awarded the LIJSL Sportsmanship Award. McDermott, honored them a dinner at Sidekicks Restaurant in Massapequa Park. The team will continue this great effort when they play in the New York State Finals in the spring.
