After a very quick six months, I will be leaving the Massapequan Observer to take over the editorship of another Anton newspaper, The Westbury Times.
It has been an extremely rewarding experience to cover Massapequa and it has been refreshing to meet the many people who truly care about maintaining a sense of community spirit in the area, as well as improving the quality of life for its residents. I would like to thank everyone I have had the opportunity to work with during my time with the Observer and I wish you and all my readers the best as we approach the 21st century.
Fortunately, for the Observer's subscribers, the newspaper will be under the capable co-editorship of Susie Trenkle and Andrea Morale, two proven professionals at Anton Community Newspapers. Susie is the editor of the Levittown Tribune and Andrea is the editor of the Farmingdale Observer. They tell me they are looking forward to covering the many issues which are of concern to residents of the Massapequas.
Continue to stay in touch with the Observer. Both Andrea Morale and Susie Trenkle will be eager to hear what your thoughts, concerns and questions are concerning your community. It's your newspaper and its editors always appreciate hearing what you have to say.
And lastly, feel free to drop me a line, as well. I'll be at the same number here at Anton Newspapers.
