Susan Duncan Clark, of Olmsted Township, OH formerly of Massapequa, died on Oct. 20, 1998. She was active in the PEO Sisterhood, an international women's group dedicated to promoting educational opportunities for women. Wife of the late Carlos. Sister of William Duncan. Mrs. Clark was cremated. Services held in N. Olmsted. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Rita Lilly Steinberg, 75, of Massapequa formerly of Massapequa Park, died on Oct. 21, 1998. Born in Brooklyn, she was a travel consultant with Midway Travel in Hicksville. She was a local Democratic committee member, president of the Massapequa Chapter of Hadassah (where she was Woman of the Year in 1969), vice president of the Jamaica Chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women (late 1940s, early 1950s) and co-chairwoman of the NC Coalition of Christians and Jews in the early 1950s. Mrs. Steinberg was the editor of the Harbor Green Sea-Breeze local newsletter in Massapequa. She also directed and produced musical comedies and reviews at local temples. Wife of Stanley. Mother of Richard. Grandmother of Matthew. Arrangements were made by Gutterman's Chapel, Woodbury. Interment Mt. Ararat Cemetery.

Kenneth C. DeLeon, 70, of Stuart, FL former resident of Masspequa, died on Nov. 9, 1998. Mr. DeLeon was born in Astoria, moved to Oceanside and then to Massapequa in 1950. He owned and operated Liberty Enterprises, Inc., a home improvement business in Oceanside until he retired eight years ago.

He and his wife, Bernice, relocated to Stuart when he retired. They have done extensive traveling and he was an avid fisherman. He served in the Army during WWII. He received the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal in Japan.

Mr. DeLeon was an active member of the Elks Lodge 1870, Jensen Beach, FL.He received awards including Elk of the Year and Elk of the Month numerous times. He worked hard as chairman of the Children's Hospital Committee and he helped raise money for the Elks Children's Hospital in Florida.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Bernice E. DeLeon of Stuart; a son, Stephen C. DeLeon of Malverne; a daughter, Nancy J. Kaplan and son-in-law Kirk Kaplan of Massapequa; a sister, June Zatovich of Island Park; and five grandchildren.

Mr. DeLeon was cremated in Stuart. Those who wish may contribute to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of the All County Funeral Home and Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel, Stuart.

Dorothy R. Koster, of Massapequa Park, died on Nov. 13, 1998. Wife of Emil. Mother of Kathy, Terry, Cheryl, Ronnie and Richard. Arrangements were made by the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery.
