More than 650 athletes participated in a 5 kilometer circuit through the streets of Oceanside for the seventh annual South Nassau Communities Hospital/P.C. Richard & Son 5K Run/Walk.

Runners from Massapequa placed in various categories: Raymond Bernardini, third place, male age group 35-39; Anna Quaranto, second place, female age group 65-69; male age group 70-79, first place, John Niesen, second place Bill Merz.

The run was sponsored by the Council to South Nassau, and raised over $23,000 to benefit Women's Health Services at the Hospital.
