In the fall we reached out to the residents of the Massapequas urging everyone to come out to the school board meetings to learn for themselves what the real issues were separating the school board and the numerous labor unions which represent the school district's employees.

We are, once again, reaching out to every member of our community to urge you to come out to "Meet the Candidate" night on April 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater at Massapequa High School. In the past we, as probably most Massapequa residents, took the school board election lightly. This is an important election!

We are urging you to invest an hour of your time on April 27 to meet the candidates who are running for the school board so that you can make an informed decision on May 19 and not rely on what a neighbor may have heard from someone else about a candidate.

The school board members play an important role in the quality of our children's education, the status of our community and our real estate taxes. Take an active part in this election!
