Claire V. (Ginny) Eltringham, 75, wife of deceased Thomas R. died on Jan. 15, 1998 at Mariner Health Care of Port Orange. Mrs. Eltringham was born in Fall River, MA, worked for Pan American Airlines in California, where she met her husband and lived there and in other areas of the Pacific with him and their family. Mrs. Eltringham was secretary at Birch Lane School, Massapequa, from the late 1960s until she retired in 1980. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf and was a former member of the Spruce Creek Women's Nine Hole golf group. She is survived by her three sons, Lee G. of Ridgefield, CT, T. Roger of Garden City and Walter R. of Daytona Beach, FL; her sister Helen Marsh Todd, Walnut Creek, CA; and two grandchildren, Dana and Ryan. Memorial service was held at Bellvue Cedar Hill Chapel, Daytona Beach. In lieu of flowers, spiritual tributes to T. Roger Eltringham, 98 Meadow St., Garden City, NY or memorial donations to Hospice of Volusia Flager, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32119. Helen Gould, of Massapequa, died on Jan. 15, 1998. Mother of Joan Yelland and Carol Walker. Mother-in-law of Fred Walker. Grandmother of James and Susan and Robert Yelland, Christie, Cindy and Sherri Walker. Great-grandmother of Jessica Yelland. She was involved with St. Anne's, Catholic Daughters of America, Our Lady of Mercy Academy, St. Rose of Lima, was president of the D.R.S. Group and an animal right's activist. Wife of Louis C. Mother of Mark, Michael, Melanie and Louis III. Sister of Robert Arthur, Diane Diot and Marilyn Arthur. Daughter of the late Harry O. and Eva Arthur. Grandmother of Joey and Jimbo. Friend of Elsie and Peter Bonna. Arrangements were made by the Masssapequa Funeral Home. Mass at St. Rose of Lima RC Church. Todd H. Whitaker, fomerly of Massapequa, died on Jan. 15, 1998. Husband of Lorraine. Father of Mark and Kimm. Son of John and Jeanne. Brother of Gregg, Glenn and Melanie. Grandfather of Justin.
