Annual Toy Drive for Hospitalized Children

McKenna School's 40th Anniversary
September 1998 will mark the 40th anniversary of the former McKenna Junior High School which is now McKenna Elementary School. A 40th Anniversary Committee is planning a celebration of this Massapequa Park school that has served the community well in so many different ways: as a junior high school, a seventh grade center, an elementary school, a teacher training center, and a senior citizen center. Amityville High School Class of 1948 Reunion
Plans are under way for a reunion of members of the Amityville High School Class of 1948. Chanukah Program
Hosted by Temple Sinai of Massapequa and Amityville, 270 Clocks Blvd. from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Open to children ages 2 through 6. Features stories, songs, crafts and refreshments appropriate to the Chanukah holiday. Free to all. Temple Sinai requests that each child attending the program bring a canned food item that the temple will distribute to needy families for the holidays. Group information meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Free services and options available to qualified LI residents.
