Court of Champions Youth Tennis Camp

Planning for the Court of Champions 2012 Youth Tennis Camp has started. Last year’s camp experience was very well received by the community so they have decided to offer three sessions this summer.

Session I will be Monday, June 25 through Thursday, June 28 with an optional bonus Super Session adding two days, July 2 and 3, to Session I. Session II will be held Monday, July 30 through Thursday, Aug. 2.

Session III will be Monday Aug. 6 through Thursday, Aug. 9. All sessions are from 9 a.m. – noon at the Manhasset High School tennis courts. Camp is offered for children entering first through sixth grades. The program will include skill-building drills, fun games and competitive round robin play appropriate for each skill level. Participants should bring their own snack, water bottle, and tennis racquet and must wear sneakers.

The camp will be conducted by local middle school and high school tennis coaches, with assistance from selected high performing players from the high school teams. The cost is $250/player per four-day session. The six-day Super Session I is $350/player. Proceeds from the camp will benefit the Court of Champions Tennis Project.

Registration forms and waivers can be obtained on the Indian’s Rock website, www.irockmanhasset.org If you have any questions please contact Eileen Cuneo at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Space is limited and registration will close as soon as maximum capacity is achieved. Please understand we cannot add late registrations due to limited court availability.

The Court of Champions is a subcommittee of the Indians Rock Foundation and was formed to raise funds for the tennis project to build additional tennis courts at Manhasset High School. The Court of Champions is committed to building a youth tennis program in Manhasset. The tennis project will not only enhance the high school tennis program but it will increase access for the entire community and allow for expanded community programs such as the Youth Tennis Camp, community mixers and tournaments in the future.
