District Accepts Gifts

Donations come from Tower, Whipple and

Indians Rock Foundations

Molly DePietro, Kenneth Hyde and Lisa Middleton attended the Feb. 12  Manhasset Board of Education meeting to speak about the Tower Foundation’s anticipated donation to the district of $250,000 to be used for Phase 2 of the Manhasset High School Library Renovation. The board expressed their appreciation and thanks to the Tower Foundation for their munificence and support of the district.

Also attending the meeting were Frank Coughlin, Jr., representing PAL, who spoke of the cooperative effort made by the Diane Whipple Foundation, the Indians Rock Community Foundation, Manhasset High School Booster Club, the Manhasset Soccer Club and the Nassau County Police Activity League (PAL), to donate checks totaling $366,520.00 to be used for stadium field renovations and related improvements at the Manhasset Secondary School. On this occasion, Cardillo, Prinzo and Rule, representing the board, thanked the organizations responsible for the charitable gifts that were bestowed upon the district.
