Over the weekend I found out that I will be out of town next Tuesday, May 18. That is the day of the Manhasset Public Schools Budget Vote and Election for 2010. I briefly considered rearranging my travel schedule since this is a vote I consider extremely important for my family. I want my vote counted. However, I went on the school’s website, www.manhasset .k12.ny.us, and clicked on 2010-2011 Budget. There was the Application for Absentee Ballot listed at the bottom of the page. I printed the simple two-page form and filled it out and signed in less than 30 seconds. I will take it over to the high school today to get the ballot since the vote is next week. It could not have been easier!
Here is all the information you need: District Clerk, Manhasset Public Schools, 200 Memorial Place, Manhasset, NY 11030, 516-267-7724, at least seven (7) days before the vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. Completed absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
