MHS Alumni, Students and Coach Rule
A few years have passed since our Manhasset days. It was a blessing to run into Coach Bob Rule at the MHS reunion.
I have now been able to print my frustration about my son Neil’s mental illness without being embarrassed, and I feel better. Keeping things secret just didn’t work out well.
I am hoping to help one family and then hundreds of families communicate about mental illness or any medical problem.
I have already received a letter from a Manhasset seventh-grader in Bob Rule’s class thanking me for what we are doing, and telling me that I am his hero.
Wow. That is what I am trying to do. Help our next generation from making the same mistakes that my family did.
This person wants to be a doctor someday and help people like Neil.
This is the best gift I could ever receive this season.
Happy New Year to all.
