Obituary: Patricia Findaro-Uralli

Patricia Findaro-Uralli entered eternal life on Feb. 11, 2010 at her home of 47 years in Manhasset. Loving daughter of the late Hannah Harold and the late Anthony Paduano. Beloved wife of the late pediatrician Dr. Joseph Findaro who she met in 1952 as a registered nurse at Flushing Hospital where she specialized in the care of premature babies. Also a devoted wife of the late Samil Uralli from Istanbul, Turkey.

She is survived by her children Patricia Hayes, Joseph Findaro and Robert Findaro; her grandsons Patrick, Mark and Jack Findaro and her cousin Joe Saggese as well as other close relatives and friends. Pat was born in New York City on Jan. 9, 1931. She graduated from the Dominican Academy in Manhattan and attended Regis College in Weston, MA majoring in economics. While raising her children she was an active member of the LIJ-North Shore Hospital Auxiliary and the Flushing Hospital Auxiliary where she organized charity events featuring the NY Mets wives as fashion models. During that time period she was also active with the Queens Lighthouse for the Blind and later served the Catholic church as a minister of consolation. Pat was a licensed real estate broker and was honored as one of the top producers on Long Island by Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

An Irish wake was held at Fairchild’s Funeral Home in Manhasset on Sunday, Feb. 14 and Monday, Feb. 15. Catholic Mass was at St. Mary’s Manhasset on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
