Mimi Javello, died at her home on Dec. 24, 2010. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived there until 1961, Port Washington until 1979, Manhasset, NY until 1992, Kalamazoo, MI until 1998, and currently Morristown, NJ.
Mimi graduated from Pratt Institute, NY, in 1950 with a BA. She initially worked for Cohn-Hall-Marx also in New York City as a textile stylist, then devoted her time to her family as a homemaker, mother and wife.
Mimi enjoyed reading books to grade school children at the Southern Boulevard School in Chatham and did this for 10 years. She was also a member of the Morristown Women’s Club. She enjoyed painting, especially watercolor.
Wife of 51 years to Ron Javello of Morristown, NJ; Mother of Mark and his wife Karen Javello, of Chatham, NJ; Grandmother of Kyle, Nina, Bryan, and Sadie. Also surviving is a brother Frank Zinghini of Tequesta, FL.
